PM360 ’s Circle of Communication

As the CEO and Publisher of PM360, regular meetings with clients, publicists and editorial contributors is a vital part of the job. But these days, to run a truly successful publishing operation in the digital age, publishers must take interaction—and indeed communication—to another level. In fact, as befits our company’s name, we engage in a full circle of communication.

Over the past few months, PM360 has undertaken a number of new multichannel initiatives. We’ve launched our “new and improved” website (borrowing from the packaged goods industry). If you haven’t checked it out yet please do so at PM360online.com, and let us know what you think. We’ve also increased our presence on Facebook and Twitter and created our new monthly PM360 Panorama e-Bulletin, featuring original articles that examine and analyze current issues and challenges facing the industry—all directly targeted to the needs of pharma brand teams.

On October 24 (2:00-2:45 PM EST) we will present a free PM360 Webcast: Power Struggle: Payers versus Providers—How Marketers Can Win the Battle Over Managed Care (see ad on page 41 for registration info). Mick Kolassa, Ph.D., our “Marketing Insider” columnist and “Expert on Call” will be the featured speaker on the Webcast along with Joe Sinopoli, President at PreLaunch Strategy and former Director of Pharmacy at Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan. Mark your calendars, as this interactive presentation will give you the tools for success in Managed Care.

Our March Ad Test and recent Product Manager Survey proved very popular and thus the holiday season came early for the three contest winners who were selected at random, including Kevin LaWall of GlaxoSmithKline (who won an iPad) and Travis Cloud of Boehringer Ingelheim (who won a Kindle). Speaking of the holiday season, our December Innovation Issue will be highlighting new thinking, strategies, products and services in pharma marketing. Be on the lookout for more information on how you can participate and bring focus to your innovation.

By the time you read this, we will have held our exciting and very well attended 2012 PM360 Trailblazer Awards Gala honoring the best in the pharma industry. Our 2012 PM360 Roundtable of Brand Champions (held the day before the Gala) will tackle how companies can achieve success by “Putting the Patient First.” As I said, it’s a circle of communication. Thank you for the opportunity.
