Excerpta Medica, Omnicom Health Group, and IBM Watson teamed up to amplify medical research and education with artificial intelligence. Introducing mAIgret, a premier literature research platform powered with Watson. Through a combination of machine learning, natural language processing, and in-depth subject matter expertise held by the Excerpta Medica team, mAIgret delivers faster, more accurate, and unbiased literature research results from complex search queries that were previously unrealized by human assessment only.
mAIgret accelerates and amplifies the digestion of very large numbers of diverse and large data sets, therefore allowing human capabilities to analyze and contextualize the literature search results, leaving no source unturned. The comprehensiveness of mAIgret’s literature research yields accurate summations that are free from human bias therefore producing higher quality results.
In addition to unbiased findings, pharma clients would also benefit from faster results of the literature search. With more time available for analysis and contextualization of the results, it can be expected that pharma companies will receive higher value analysis, which could enable better decision making.
Initially, mAIgret will focus on the initial literature search curation and data extraction from abstracts, which is already expected to yield up to 30% faster delivery of the research results. The future for mAIgret is to expand this to data extraction of full text articles and data reporting, which will provide even more potential for analysis and contextualization.
