Anna McClafferty Joins Health Union as Senior Vice President, Insights
Anna McClafferty has taken the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Insights, at Health Union where she will be responsible for driving growth for the Insight’s business that provides Health Union partners access to unique consumer research, analytics, and vital patient feedback. Previously, McClafferty was SVP & Management Advisor at TGaS Advisors.
“We are thrilled to have an experienced leader like Anna take over the reins of our growing Insights practice, where she will partner with our clients who are seeking to integrate the voice of patients into their business decision-making processes,” says Health Union President and Co-founder Tim Armand. McClafferty’s other previous roles include SVP of Commercial Operations at GlaxoSmithKline and Research Group Manager for the information industry practice of National Analysts (now Naxion).
Biopharma Giant Joins Kamada
Kamada adds Gwen A. Melincoff to its Board of Directors. Leon Recanati, Kamada’s Chairman of the Board, comments, “Her 25-year career across multiple corporate functions, including business development, research operations, licensing, marketing, and product management, will be significant to us as we continue to drive growth across our commercial product portfolio, and further develop our robust late-stage pipeline.”
Currently, Melincoff advises Phase 1 Ventures, an accelerator startup program, and Verge Genomics, a privately held life sciences company. Prior to this, Melincoff was Senior Vice President of Business Development at Shire Pharmaceuticals and then Vice President of Business Development at BTG International.
Alzheon
Alzheon appoints Neil Flanzraich, JD, Chief Business Officer. Previously, Flanzraich was CEO of Cantex Pharmaceuticals, where he now serves as Executive Chairman. He is also serves as Founder and a Principal of a venture capital firm, Leviathan Biopharma Group.
Amunix Operating
Amunix names Frederick Hausheer, MD, FACP, as its Chief Medical Officer. As founder, Chairman, CEO, and President of BioNumerik from 1992-2015, he led the discovery and development of two novel oncologic therapeutics prior to joining Amunix. Dr. Hausheer also co-founded and served as Chairman of KI Pharma from 2005-2013, which focused on development and commercialization of oncology products in Japan.
Astellas
Linda Friedman will now be responsible for Astellas’ Legal organization worldwide as Executive Vice President, General Counsel. Friedman served in increasing roles of responsibility for Astellas Americas for the past 24 years. Previously, Friedman was Chief Corporate Counsel at Chicago-based insurance agency, Associated Agencies, Inc.
Cornerstone Pharmaceuticals
Cornerstone has appointed Chi Van Dang, MD, PhD, the world’s authority on cancer metabolism, to its Board of Directors. He will also serve as Chair of its Scientific and Medical Advisory Boards.
Finn Partners
Geralyn LaNeve will join Finn Partners New York Health Group as Health Practice Group Vice President, where she will be responsible for managing advocacy relations programs and providing strategic leadership in public health for nonprofit and for-profit organizations. LaNeve’s experience encompasses communications and advocacy initiatives in the healthcare industry as well as developing partnerships between clients and a range of stakeholders. Previously, LaNeve was SVP at Alembic Unlimited.
Gilead Sciences
Kennet Brysting will now lead Gilead’s sixth-largest market as General Manager of Gilead Sciences, Canada. Brysting has more than 20 years of experience, including his prior role as General Manager of Gilead Nordics, which he led to its growth to become one of Gilead’s top 10 markets.
Hill Holliday
The creative agency named Scott Rabschnuk as Managing Director, Healthcare. Rabschnuk was most recently EVP, Group Account Director for the agency. In his new role, he will continue building the trust the company enjoys with its clients.
Minoryx Therapeutics
Dr. Claude Nicaise joins the Minoryx Board of Directors with 30 years of experience in regulatory strategy in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Dr. Nicaise was most recently Senior Vice President of Strategic Development and Global Regulatory Affairs at Alexion Pharmaceuticals.

Ogilvy Healthworld has hired Carolyn Dateo as SVP, Planning and Lauren Miller as Vice President, Account Group Supervisor. Dateo has 15 years of experience, most recently as SVP, Global Strategy Director for Publicis New York. Prior to joining Ogilvy, Miller was a leader at NYC agency Havas Life Metro.
