“At Your Cervix” Cervical Cancer Awareness Campaign (Goshen Health and SFC Group)
An estimated 14,100 women in the United States are diagnosed with cervical cancer every year. However, with routine screenings and HPV vaccinations, it’s nearly 100% preventable and treatable. The Goshen Center for Cancer Care wanted to raise awareness around that fact and urge women aged 21-65 within a 50-mile radius to get screened at Goshen Hospital.
Working with a modest budget, teams needed to be highly creative and strategic. A journal ad paired the recognizable teal ribbon with a memorable URL, PapASAP.com, while a series of brochures and flyers in both English and Spanish further expanded awareness. A radio spot was also created to broadcast the message far and wide.
The campaign drove over 2,000 users to the site from January through April, with numerous requests for information, PDF downloads, and use of the “Find a Doctor” tool to identify available providers at Goshen Health. For the women of Goshen, Indiana, getting a Pap ASAP has never been easier.
