Amplity Health’s AskX
Generative AI that Taps into Real-World Evidence
AskX, launched by Amplity Health in March 2023, is a customized implementation of OpenAI’s ChatGPT specialized for the pharma and life sciences industry to empower researchers, brand leaders, and field operations managers to interrogate Amplity’s Insights database of over 75 million medical transcriptions and generate insights on any topic or line of inquiry they desire. Additionally, in the context of medical and commercial field operations, AskX can be applied to field surveys that provide leaders with instant actionable insights on feedback from the field.
For example, a user can ask: What is the prescriber sentiment surrounding your drug or a competitor’s drug? Or, why are patients prematurely discontinuing a particular therapy? Questions can be related to factors impacting the care of patients, lines of therapy, complications, provider preferences, etc. These inquiries can focus on marketing, commercial efforts, medical, compliance, access, and so on.
Since the Amplity Insights database tracks prescribers at the National Provider Identifier (NPI) level, AskX can query records from that database and tie them back to an HCP target list. Additionally, clients are allowed to license an entire set of Insights raw records so their in-house analytics teams can use their own proprietary algorithms and queries to help answer key business questions. Or clients can add their own data within a secure environment only they can access to query AskX about their internal data.
AskX is already being used by top pharma companies for health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and field operations with great success and is improving field effectiveness to ensure better care for patients.
