Executive Vice President, Digital Solutions

Championing Women Across Healthcare

Amy Turnquist is not only dedicated to supporting, developing, and mentoring others within her own company, she’s also working within the healthcare community as a champion and mentor, especially for women.

For the past three years, Amy has served as the President of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association in Philadelphia—an organization committed to the advancement and mentoring of women in the business of healthcare. Through this role, Amy has implemented multiple “experiential learning” opportunities for members within the chapter to learn and practice new professional skills.

She was a strong advocate for the formation of the organization’s first Women of the Color affinity group in 2019, to provide a safe and supportive community within HBA for these women to support their career growth and development. Prior to her role as President, Amy was the Director-at-Large for HBA’s Mentoring Program in 2016, increasing mentee enrollment by more than 80% over the prior year.

The HBA has also recognized her for her work with two awards in 2018: The HBA Advocate Award (she was the only global recipient of this award in 2018) and the Leadership, Excellence, and Dedication (LEAD) Award (she was the only recipient in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic Region in 2018).

Amy also serves as the Mentoring Co-Chair for Temple University’s Fox School of Business Master’s program for Digital Innovation in Marketing. Through her role on the Fox Advisory Council, she is pioneering new one-on-one mentoring programs to connect students with high-profile alumni and is responsible for designing the 2020 student webinar curriculum. The 2020 series launched in March with a webinar on pharmaceutical marketing that she personally secured in partnership with CMI/Compas.

“As long as I’ve known her, I’ve been so impressed with Amy’s authentic approach to her role at EHS and within our industry,” says Wendy Blackburn, Executive Vice President, Intouch Group. “She is an incredibly supportive partner, always looking to bring everyone else along on her journey in the most positive ways. She is a role model and a mentor to many, and we need more people like her in our industry!”
