Faruk Capan, CEO, EVERSANA INTOUCH

Faruk Capan is no stranger to innovation. In his nearly 30-year career, Faruk has become known for his ability to predict industry trends, lead with a vision, and adapt to change.

Faruk moved to the U.S. in 1990 as an immigrant from Istanbul, Turkey, to complete a Master of Business Administration at Central Missouri State University and pursue the American dream. After a six-year career at Marion Merrell Dow (now known as Sanofi), Faruk became the head of the Business Information Systems Department at Teva Marion Partners (now known as Teva Pharmaceuticals) where he was the mastermind behind the industry’s first patient-community portal, MSWatch.com.

Insight from these positions led Faruk to found Intouch Solutions in 1999. Working out of his home with just two other employees, Faruk began what is now a flourishing global network. Over the course of 23 years, he’s led the firm as the CEO and expanded the agency into a full-service network, EVERSANA INTOUCH, with eight affiliate organizations, nearly 1,600 employees, and 10 offices globally.

As a local, industry, and company culture leader, Faruk is well-regarded. He hosts FAQ (Faruk Answers Questions) meetings where he fearlessly answers tough, live questions in front of the whole company. He values creating an open community forum and building relationships with his employees. Giving back to the community is also a pillar of Faruk’s leadership. He was the catalyst for EVERSANA INTOUCH’s newly restructured philanthropy program, The Give Back, and continues to find ways to use EVERSANA INTOUCH resources to better the lives of others. Whether he’s rolling up his sleeves with others at Heart to Heart International’s headquarters and assembling hygiene kits for Ukrainian refugees, speaking out against social injustices, personally matching COVID relief funds for employees in India, or propelling the Adopt-a-Lab program forward, Faruk is always looking for new ways for EVERSANA INTOUCH employees to get involved beyond the day-to-day work.

Faruk continues to look for what’s next in order to bring forward-thinking technologies and ideas to the industry. A true innovator, Faruk has anticipated and navigated the rapid growth of his company. In late 2021, Intouch Group was acquired by EVERSANA. Faruk saw the acquisition as an opportunity to make a bigger impact on patients’ lives. “This is so much more than an integration,” Faruk said. “Over the last 20 years, we transformed pharmaceutical promotion and digital engagement. Imagine what the next 20 years will bring as we set our sights even higher, unafraid to transform healthcare as we know it.” This year, Faruk will lead the recently blended Intouch Group and EVERSANA’s full-service agency EVERSANA ENGAGE as EVERSANA INTOUCH; he will also take on the title of Chief Innovation Officer and will influence the long-term evolution of EVERSANA.
