Elevating the Standard of Cardiovascular Care for Women (Amarin Pharma Inc, Healthcare Consultancy Group)
Conversations about cardiovascular health focus predominately on men and there are relatively few initiatives specifically addressing women’s needs in this space. This is critical as cardiovascular disease (CVD) presents differently in women and frequently goes undiagnosed. In fact, one in three female deaths are the result of CVD.
Amarin Pharma, Inc. needed to highlight risk factors for women that have been shown to increase the risk of CVD. The team enlisted the help of Dr. Payal Kohli, a prominent preventive cardiologist, and created peer-to-peer education to address this need. “Elevating the Standard of Cardiovascular Care for Women” intends to challenge HCPs to think differently about the importance of cardiovascular risk management and prevention in women and has been used at national and local levels.
Amarin used the core branding for Vascepa, but highlighted its pinks and purples, used prominent images of women, and relevant female CVD risk data throughout the deck, to reinforce the content.
