The cross-agency team’s goal was to drive awareness of VELSYS’ ability to enhance surgeons’ experience and also deliver better patient outcomes. Research revealed the need for a campaign targeted to both surgeons and hospital administrators. Surgeons seek solutions that are quick to integrate, learn, setup, and operate. Although VELSYS wasn’t the first to market, it is simpler, smaller, and intuitively designed to fit in with surgeons’ existing workflows.

Hospital administrators are always looking for better ROI for capital investments. In addition, they need compelling data that the technology works for patients. Throughout the pandemic, the VELSYS Virtual Robotic Experience led surgeons through an immersive, virtual 3D experience that mimicked what they would find in the OR. Videos showcased VELSYS in action. Surgeons absorbed information as if they were there in person. Administrators were able to learn about cost savings and data regarding outcomes.
