Hello Talk Unbranded Educational Program Series (Takeda and Snow Companies)

Takeda’s Hematology franchise has consistently demonstrated a legacy of commitment and a solid track record of engaging the patient community. The Beyond Bleeding Disorders Hello Talk Unbranded Educational Program Series is the latest manifestation of an extraordinary commitment to patients. The program is aimed at providing a variety of critical bleeding disorders educational topics through experiential learning and gamification. Another critical goal of this program series is to support patients in their continued achievement along their patient journey by creating space for them to not only set new goals but create a plan of action alongside their fellow blood brothers and sisters.

The idea was to come up with a format that is as motivating as patient storytelling and as inclusive and interactive as a workshop. It had to provide targeted messaging to diverse audiences, be attractive to the larger community, and help patients feel supported. The format also had to capitalize on all the advantages that in-person meetings have to offer versus online interactions, such as deeper interpersonal connections and a more comprehensive immersion in the subject matter.

To achieve these goals, the team utilized a gamification platform as well as an experiential learning framework. Through playful competition and meaningful interactivity, participants stay engaged and feel their individual needs are not lost despite this being a group experience. Takeda and Snow Companies partnered to develop program content that raises the bar on what in-person patient education can look like.
