“What Unites Us” is an immersive, one-of-a-kind editorial platform from Glamour to foster community and support for women with migraines. Condé Nast research revealed that women with migraine are social and seek storytelling that normalizes the condition and reflects their journey.

In response, this editorial destination leveraged digital and social testimonial submissions from real patients—vetted and uploaded on a weekly basis by Glamour editors—to ensure a diverse spectrum of races, ages, and backgrounds was reflected. This user-submitted element was augmented by a supplemental array of medically vetted content from Glamour experts to round out the experience with condition-specific, service-oriented articles. To create an immersive user experience, patient testimonials, social posts, and condition-specific articles are augmented by a sleek map interface populated with hotspots that users could hover over to learn more about fellow patients and seek inspiration through their words of encouragement. Driven by this “listen-first” approach to inform how the information was presented, the visual was a powerful reminder for users with migraine—they were not alone.
