Hint Health Launches New AI Product

Hint Health is aiming to reshape the doctor-patient relationship with an AI product made in collaboration with OpenAI. By providing AI tools to the thousands of Direct Primary Care (DPC) doctors on the Hint platform, this integration aims to help practitioners use technology to amplify their care rather than replace it.

Hint’s platform, All-in-One, launched a Beta portion of the app with the ability to record patient consultations or interactions, transcribe them using the OpenAI Whisper API, then automatically generate documentation on behalf of the clinician using OpenAI’s large language models. As the first in many planned features on Hint’s platform, this application frees up significant time for the doctor to practice medicine, focus on their patients, and grow their business, instead of taking notes.

“Our vision is a future where technology empowers, rather than hinders, the doctor-patient relationship,” said Zak Holdsworth, CEO of Hint Health. “The technological arms race in insurance-based care models has for decades led to systematically worse access and experience for patients and doctors, and Direct Primary Care is reversing this trend. This product launch is exciting because in the hands of the DPC community, we believe AI has the potential to help restore trust and integrity in our healthcare systems.”

While the mainstream healthcare system, built on antiquated insurance fee-for-service models, may see AI as a means to automate away the doctor, the community of clinicians on the Hint platform work outside this status quo and entered this collaboration with the mission of ensuring AI is used with the right intentions in healthcare.

EVERSANA Unveils New Patient Support Platforms

EVERSANA, a leader in commercialization services to the global life sciences industry, has unveiled ACTICS eAccess, a powerful, proprietary electronic benefits verification (eBV) and electronic prior authorization (ePA) platform. In order to advance patient support, this first-to-market technology gives patient service teams nearly immediate insight into patient coverage from both pharmacy and major medical plans, any potential need for prior authorization support, and any financial responsibilities impacting patient access and speed to treatment. With 90% accuracy, ACTICS eAccess leverages EVERSANA’s digital connectivity to more than 1,400 payers across the U.S. and integrates data from more than 90% of covered lives to verify pharmacy and major medical plan coverage nearly immediately.

“Current eBV and ePA tools fail to meet the needs of patients. In many cases only 60% of the electronic verification results are accurate and more than 70% of prior authorization submissions are rejected with little to no reporting on the patient’s status. Delays like that add to an already lengthy treatment journey, forcing patients to wait,” said Jim Lang, CEO, EVERSANA. “Backed with the most reliable patient support service teams in the industry, we invested in the solution. And it works in seconds—not days.”

This platform allows the doctor’s office to do it all in one place—ACTICS eAccess’ insight into major medical plans, patients, and providers can determine patient-specific out-of-pocket costs, patient deductibles, and coverage for physician-administered drugs, buy and bill, as well as ancillary services. Providers can compare coverage and out-of-pocket costs between pharmacy and medical to identify the best reimbursement pathway for the patient. Finally, next-generation technology expedites the prior authorization submission process, delivering a much higher percentage of accepted submissions by insurance providers.
