PM360 2023 Trailblazer Awards Cardiology Brand Champion Bradley A. Yavornitzki

Bradley A. Yavornitzki, Senior Product Manager, U.S. Marketing, Bristol Myers Squibb

When QR codes started to become prominent again during the pandemic, Bradley Yavornitzki initially wasn’t a fan. Who wants to have to scan a code just to read a menu at a restaurant? It turns out, over time, that he did because they just made things much more convenient. Now, Bradley helped developed the use of a QR code he feels patients will quickly grow to love.

Working with Bionical Solutions, his team created hospital patient educational resources leveraging QR codes, resulting in streamlined patient education. Patients have access to information about their post-discharge treatment, diagnosis details, indications of their prescribed treatment, important safety information (ISI), what to do if they miss a dose, patient reimbursement, and more. Physicians can also choose print or digital versions, so patients and their caregivers can always have this crucial information at their fingertips.

On another program with Bionical, Bradley identified a program supporting doctors to encourage their patients to get back in to see their doctors post-COVID. This platform supported patient education focused on signs and symptoms of atrial fibrillation (Afib). BMS field personnel worked with doctors to support them with education to ensure patients weren’t neglecting their care and knew if it was time to once again see their doctor.
