GenePossibilities (Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Evoke Mind+Matter)
To expand understanding of types of gene therapy approaches including gene addition and gene editing among healthcare providers, Evoke Mind+Matter’s team needed to create a paradigm shift. The GenePossibilities initiative offered tailored educational resources to overcome educational/informational challenges and promote a deeper understanding of gene therapy approaches.
The team both collaborated with medical experts for accurate information and looked for content to address common concerns. The result was GenePossibilitiesHCP, an online educational hub. The user-friendly website features a visually appealing interface with mobile responsiveness built in. The platform helped HCPs bridge the knowledge gaps about different gene therapy approaches with clear, concise information presented in a user-friendly way. The website contains educational content for providers as well as useful patient resources.
The initiative successfully addressed the limited understanding of gene therapy including CRISPR gene editing among HCPs including those treating sickle cell disease (SCD) and transfusion dependent thalassemia (TDT). The GenePossibilitiesHCP website has served over 72,000 visitors since mid-2022, indicating strong interest.
