The seventh iteration of this popular summit, held February 25-26 in Philadelphia, featured more than seven case studies, 10-plus educational sessions, and panel discussions. Eighteen speakers from companies including Merck, Boehringer Ingelheim, Teva, and Bayer Healthcare, to name a few, made up the summit’s expert speaking panel.
Topics addressed included the latest information on the changing landscape of care management and the possibilities of technologies; the importance of patient-defined outcomes and integrating the patient voice into protocol design; the role of specialty pharmacies for patient adherence; and shared accountability for improving outcomes with all stakeholders. Speakers also discussed the many challenges in terms of increasing health literacy among patients, and solutions for implementing effective adherence interventions.
Attendees overwhelmingly evaluated this program as the perfect place to network with colleagues and explore the latest trends and best practices in patient engagement, health literacy, and patient behavior to improve collaborative communication. ExL has already started organizing next year’s conference—packing the agenda with even more interactive sessions, panels, case studies, and roundtables.
