An article titled “Coronary stent patients need individualized DAPT duration” (published November 18, 2014) misstated Dr. Gilles Montalescot’s views on the duration of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) with aspirin plus a thienopyridine. He said that 6 months is safer than 12 months of DAPT, and it makes sense to stop after 6 months in a patient with a bleeding risk, but not in a patient with a high ischemia risk.
