In 2005, Shev founded SRPR | Shev Rush Public Relations, making pharma and healthcare communications its main industry concentration.
Almost 20 years later, SRPR has served numerous pharma and healthcare clients encompassing some of the industry’s foremost marketing agencies, such as Concentric Health Experience, Rosetta, and Moon Rabbit as well as pharma, healthcare, medtech, and biotech brands such as ConnectiveRx, ivWatch, Parse Biosciences, LEO Pharma, Ambio Health, and Medplexus. Via SRPR’s efforts, the agency’s pharma and healthcare clients have amassed multiple coveted awards, and the agency itself was named one of the Top 5 Small PR agencies in the United States in a survey of 800 journalists. Shev was named one of the Top 25 PR Practitioners in the country by industry group PRSourceCode.

Shev believes that PR agencies must exist outside of the “marketing vacuum” and that it is not enough to be able to only create and implement marketing strategies for clients; instead, as clients’ marketing partner, he and the agency must fully understand organizational needs and business objectives so that all agency work maps directly back to clients’ financial, strategic, and operational bottom lines. His agency’s media relations approach is story-driven and powered by an immersive discovery process at the start of each engagement. When clients onboard SRPR, they do so as if they were onboarding a senior marketing executive, sharing sales data, salesforce insights, business development targets, and conversion rates while also facilitating candid one-on-one conversations with the company’s C-level executives and marquee clients.
In addition to serving his pharma and healthcare clients, Shev’s work has led to projects with global companies such as Google and Twitter as well as notables such as Representative Eva Clayton, the first African American to represent North Carolina in Congress since 1898, and the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Denmark. Shev lives his mission through his PR work; he is a dedicated advocate
of human rights issues and a longtime historic preservationist who regularly volunteers his time privately in related efforts.
