PM360 Magazine Announces Winners of 2012 Trailblazer Awards

Best of the Best in Healthcare Marketing Honored at Gala Event

NEW YORK, NY, Sept. 25, 2012: PM360, a leading health-marketing industry trade magazine, recognized the best innovators in the pharmaceutical industry with their annual Trailblazer Awards on Friday, September 21, 2012. The honors, bestowed at a gala banquet at Guastavino’s at the Bridgemarket on Manhattan’s East Side, are given to outstanding companies, marketers and brand managers representing top talent and brands.

“We believe that it’s very important to celebrate the amazing people and companies that continue to show creativity and imagination in pharma,” said Anna Stashower, CEO and Publisher of PM360. “The companies and individuals receiving these awards have distinguished themselves as the leaders and thinkers who keep pharma moving forward.”

This year’s winners continue the tradition of honoring pharma marketers for their exceptional forward thinking. The Pharmaceutical or Biotech Company of the Year went to Genentech, while Nick Colucci, President and CEO of Publicis Healthcare Communications Group was named Trailblazer Marketer of the Year for his leadership, creativity and business judgment. This year, PM360 presented its first “Lifetime Achievement Award,” which went to Fred Hassan, former Board Chairman and CEO of Pharmacia & Upjohn and then Schering-Plough and who is now Board Chairman of Bausch & Lomb.

Entries are judged and winners selected by the PM360 Editorial Advisory Board, a cross section of experts from across the industry. Winning entries were judged based on content, format, success in reaching targeted audience and overall quality, and distinguished themselves in their ability to stand out in the complex healthcare environment. The Marketer of the Year award singles out the individual who best exemplifies the most insightful, forward-thinking and transformative marketing ideas and actions in the industry. PM360 will publish profiles of this year’s Trailblazer winners in a supplement to its October issue.
