As CEO of Avalere Health, Amar has transformed a company comprised of 21 legacy agencies into a forwardthinking global powerhouse committed to one bold mission: to make EVERY PATIENT POSSIBLE. Through vision, cultural reinvention, and a belief in purpose-driven work, Amar has reimagined what leadership can look like.
Amar’s journey began in pharmacy, but his passion for impact led him to healthcare marketing. Earning his MBA and building an international career, he has consistently found opportunity in disruption. From founding McCann Health in India to rebuilding operations in post-SARS China, and leading transformations across Japan, Singapore, and the Americas, Amar has proven that progress requires courage, empathy, and a global perspective.
Amar joined Avalere Health as COO in 2023 before becoming CEO in 2024. After years of acquisitions, the organization sought a unifying purpose to connect 1,300 experts across disciplines and geographies. Amar recognized that this was a chance to align teams, processes, and capabilities around a mission that placed patients, not profit, at the center.
That mission, EVERY PATIENT POSSIBLE, launched globally in early 2025—a watershed moment for Avalere Health. Under Amar’s guidance, the company was restructured into a simplified offering of three interconnected capabilities: Advisory, Medical, and Marketing. This model allows teams to think holistically, collaborate effectively, and deliver smarter solutions across the healthcare ecosystem. Amar also introduced Avalere Health’s proprietary SenseMaking approach, a strategic framework that ensures every decision is grounded in a deep understanding of three cornerstones of healthcare— systems, society, and science. Leveraging this approach, Avalere Health’s teams forge unusual connections across disciplines and uncover untapped opportunities to reach every patient.
Under Amar’s leadership, Avalere Health has accelerated growth, deepened client partnerships, and inspired employees. Nearly half of the company’s revenue now comes from clients engaged across all three capabilities, evidence of a strategy that connects expertise to impact. Internally, colleagues describe a renewed sense of clarity, collaboration, and pride.
