In the classic film Inherit the Wind, about the 1925 Scopes “Monkey Trial,” two famous lawyers and long-time colleagues have been battling in court for days about whether a man should be jailed for teaching the theory of evolution. Later they are having a friendly evening chat about their difference in philosophies, when the prosecuting lawyer—the creationist says, “Why is it, my old friend, that you have moved so far away from me?”

“All motion is relative,” says the evolutionist. “Perhaps it is you who have moved away from me–by standing still.”

You can never stand still or the thinkers, the dreamers, the doers, and the innovators will move right past you.
