Now that the Supreme Court’s decision on the historic Affordable Care Act (ACA) has exploded like a judicial nuclear bomb, it will be fascinating to watch just what the fallout will be. How exactly will the ACA affect the pharmaceutical industry in the short term and in the future? Through our team of experts, we will explore some of the ramifications of this landmark legislation through various articles in the August issue of PM360 Magazine and on our website at PM360online.com.

Speaking of our website, we urge you to keep an eye on it in the weeks ahead, as we’ve been in the process of tweaking the site’s design and content offerings. It’s one of the ways in which PM360—in the spirit of this issue’s cover story on Page 32—is strengthening our “brand” (which is now into its fourth year). In fact, we’ve recently launched a number of programs to enhance our brand and we’re planning even more. A few months ago, we rolled out a monthly e-newsletter—PM360 Panorama—that includes news, expert perspectives, and special features geared toward sharpening the skill set of brand managers. In Panorama, we cover the latest happenings in the Capital as they relate to the pharmaceutical industry; discuss the impact of industry trends, offer pharma career advice, and more. Keep an eye on your email for Panorama each month.

We’ve also expanded our presence on Facebook and Twitter. You can “like” us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pm360magazine and follow us on Twitter (@ PM360online), where we now have more than 1,000 followers. In the near future, you may also start seeing PM360 webinars and other initiatives where we can communicate with our readership and the pharma marketing community. We’ve even done some tweaking with the magazine, as with this issue you’ll see some revised page designs and a couple of new columns, such as “Ethics” (page 19) and “Mobile Rx” (page 26).

By the way, don’t forget to order your tickets for our lavish 2012 PM360 “Trailblazer Awards Gala,” on September 21 in NYC. You’ll join the leaders of the industry as we honor the great accomplishments in pharma over the past year. We’re especially pleased to announce that this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award honoree will be Bausch & Lomb Chairman of the Board Fred Hassan (also former Chairman of the Board and CEO of Schering-Plough). Help us honor Fred by ordering your tickets at www.pm360trailblazerawards.com/tickets.
We are very excited about the changes and our continued growth. As always, we welcome your feedback and ideas as we work to grow the PM360 brand.
