Christine Kingsbury, Senior Director of Marketing, Recordati Rare Diseases Inc.
Patients with rare diseases needed a champion. Of the 7,000 rare diseases, less than 10% have treatments. Even when a therapy shows promise, patients face daunting challenges. Dedicated marketers are passionate about finding help for these patients and their families.
Christine Kingsbury oversaw three different product launches—Signifor, Signifor LAR, and Isturisa—in a nine-month period during a pandemic. She continues to work with rare disease communities to increase awareness, improve diagnosis, and expand availability of treatments for people with Cushing’s disease and acromegaly.
With over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical and medical device marketing and sales, Christine excels in bringing strategic value through deep market insights. These insights led to the development of new campaigns for all three products. She collaborated with market access colleagues to create the patient support program, Recordati Access Resources and Engagement (R.A.R.E.), which provides patients and families with support and education for Signifor and Signifor LAR, and Isturisa.
Frank X. Powers, Managing Partner from Elevate Healthcare says, “Her organization, attention to detail, and willingness to push the creative product are truly second to none. It has been a privilege and honor to partner with such a driven, strategic, and experienced marketer. Christine sets the bar at nothing short of excellence, and we are excited to see her lead these brands forward to benefit the rare disease community.”
While Christine helped launch these brands and exceed goals in less than a year’s time, her most important achievement was providing new hope for patients and their families affected by these diseases.
