“Launching Restylane Kysse During the COVID-19 Pandemic” (Galderma, Real Chemistry)
Launching Restylane Kysse, the newest hyaluronic acid lip filler from Galderma, was challenging—even before the pandemic. The filler market was crowded, and women didn’t have brand preference, so Galderma needed a new approach to differentiate its new lip filler from the competition. When the pandemic hit, the team was challenged to launch a product best appreciated up close and personal—completely virtually.
Real Chemistry and Galderma announced the consumer launch of Restylane Kysse, highlighting their Phase IV Kissability data uniquely on International Kissing Day. The product launch reached consumers where they already were—online—through virtual events and social media influencers sharing their experiences with followers and promotional offers with Galderma ASPIRE rewards.
Restylane Kysse is on track to be one of Galderma’s most successful product launches to date. Reorder rates were above benchmark and media coverage at launch was double that of previous product launches, with more than 1.8 billion impressions in 2020.
