Synergy Pharmaceuticals is focused on the development and commercialization of novel gastrointestinal therapies. The company had multiple drugs in the pipeline for 2017 and 2018, and to ensure successful product launches Synergy required reliable data to meet timelines and regulatory requirements apart from coordination across the entire organization, including market access, medical affairs, regulatory, marketing, and sales. But, Kevin Johnston had a vision: To put best-in-class commercial infrastructure in place with data-driven insights into the target market. He wanted to help implement a modern approach to data management in order to manage customer information and meet regulatory requirements.
Kevin and Synergy selected the cloud-based Self-Learning Data Platform from Reltio and deployed the solution to manage healthcare professional (HCP) information. The solution was deployed very quickly to meet the timing of the product approvals and launch. As a result, Synergy built out its commercial sales readiness capabilities for sales reps and derived actionable insights, such as territory-mapping, relevant target audience, and an improvised sales incentive program.
Additionally, Kevin and team were able to bring in healthcare organization (HCO) data quickly thanks to the flexible and scalable data architecture of the Reltio Self-Learning Data Platform and perform HCP and HCO affiliation management using the Reltio Self-Learning Graph. Under Kevin’s leadership, the Synergy team was able to establish continuous data organization for HCP Customer Master and support the sales and marketing teams for a timely launch of its new drug in the market.
