CCL Adhere E-Label Platform
Karl Hoelper, Director of Marketing
Several issues, such as noncompliance, inefficient workflows, and expanding costs can lead to a clinical trial being unsuccessful. CCL Healthcare developed a new product that can help with all of that. The CCL Adhere E-Label Platform is the first fully functional electronic label that uses no battery, is controlled by NFC, secured through blockchain methodology, has a long lifespan, and has temperature-recording technology. With no battery, the power is drawn from the mobile device while using the CCL Adhere App to transfer information to the label.
The labels can be updated as many times as you would like, and once it is changed the screen message remains visible for a minimum of two years—even in extreme conditions. Furthermore, all interactions are registered through a full validation protocol, providing proof of change to the user and the CCL Adhere Control Centre, even if the screens are changed inside the original packaging. Never again does a label need to be unpacked and repacked to add new or revised information.
The CCL Adhere E-Label improves clinical studies by increasing compliance and streamlining the work flow for patients, clinicians, and health organizations. The label provides accurate, real-time, un-editable data to ensure data integrity. Additionally, the label can be used to help ensure patients take drugs on time; remove patients who do not take the trial drug at the allotted time; improve the way feedback is given both to and from the patient; and offer more data, including temperature at which the drug is stored. All of this helps to improve visibility through the entire patient and product lifecycle, lower costs, shorten trials, and improve ROI.
