Award Recognizes Achievements in Cancer Immunotherapy

Allison, Ph.D., one of its scientific founders, for being awarded the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his work in the discovery of cancer therapy by inhibition of negative immune regulation.

He also is a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator. He shares the 2018 Nobel Prize with Tasuku Honjo of Japan, a professor at Kyoto University.
