Jennifer Joe, MD, former Senior Director of Global Medical Strategy & Population Health at AstraZeneca, has been appointed Vice President of Medical Affairs at Diality. Joe is a nephrologist who graduated from the Harvardaffiliated Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Over the past decade, Joe has held leadership positions in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and software industries, demonstrating a strong commitment to introducing groundbreaking innovations in healthcare. At AstraZeneca, she spearheaded crucial nephrology initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders and healthcare systems, including major nephrology value-based organizations.
SHANNON WALSH PROMOTED TO CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER OF OGILVY HEALTH, NORTH AMERICA
Shannon Walsh has been elevated to Chief Operating Officer of Oglivy Health, North America. In her expanded role, Walsh will oversee agency operations, marketing and communications, and innovation for North America, while continuing to lead the PR, Influence and Social business. With 25 years of experience in healthcare communications, 20 of them with Oglivy Health, Walsh’s expertise spans consumer education, regulatory and product milestones, advocacy relations, and issues preparedness. In her original role as President of PR, North America, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, driving significant growth and leading her team to produce multiple award-winning campaigns. Her strategic acumen and commitment to client service have earned her industry recognition, including being named one of PRWeek’s Hall of Femme: Top PR Champions, MM+M Pinnacle Award honoree, and a PharmaVoice ELITE winner.

Azenta, Inc. announced John P. Marotta will join the company as President and CEO, effective September 9, 2024, succeeding Dr. Stephen Schwartz, who is retiring following a distinguished tenure. Dr. Schwartz will remain as an advisor to Azenta to ensure a smooth transition. Marotta has two decades of experience leading global companies in life sciences, medical devices, and diagnostics, and is joining Azenta from Patient Square Capital, a leading healthcare investment firm, where he serves as Executive in Residence. Previously, he served as CEO and President of PHC Holdings Corporation (formerly Panasonic Health Care). He also held a variety of senior executive roles in leading life sciences companies, including at Danaher Corporation, Envista Holdings Corporation, and Cardinal Health, Inc.
BridgeBio Pharma, Inc.
The commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company has announced that Thomas Trimarchi, Ph.D., has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the company. In this newly created position, Trimarchi will be responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic planning, and overall business success. He will lead crossfunctional activities to develop a centralized operation across the latestage pipeline prioritizing efficiency, rigor, and scale. Trimarchi has served in roles of increasing responsibility since joining BridgeBio in 2018, most recently as the Chief Product Officer.

Calcium+Company announced the appointment of Corina Kellam as Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer, reporting to Group President Greg Lewis. She joins other recent leadership hires, including Chief Creative Officer Bruno Brasileiro. Kellam will lead the Marketing & Innovation offering, designed to propel Calcium+Company to the forefront of a novel way to support clients. Before this role, Kellam played an important leadership role as EVP, Head of Experience & Innovation at Ogilvy Health.

This leading provider of autoimmune testing solutions announced the appointment of Jeffrey G. Black to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective September 1, 2024. Black replaces Kamal Adawi, who will be stepping down, and John Aballi will act as interim CFO through the end of August. Black brings more than 30 years of financial and accounting experience to Exagen, having served in finance leadership roles for eight publicly traded companies. He currently serves as CFO of Standard BioTools, where he recently played a key leadership role in executing its merger with SomaLogic.

Clinical Research Organization Parexel has appointed Mike D’Ambrosio as Senior Vice President, Real World Evidence (RWE) Operations. In this role, he will lead strategic initiatives to enhance customer engagement and delivery across RWE, to foster a deep understanding of patient experiences, as well as ensure safety and efficacy across the drug development process. Prior to joining Parexel, he served as the Vice President, Head of RWE Solutions at Syneos Health, where he held various roles in operations, consulting, and leadership over his eight-year tenure with the company.
