SHAH
Within3 has added Atul Shah to its executive team as Senior Vice President of Strategic Client Development. Mr. Shah has held executive positions at McKinsey & Co., SAP and SunGard. In his new role, he will be key to expanding Within3’s ability to serve the life science and healthcare industry as the premier provider of secure online communities for healthcare organizations.

STOVER
Jami Stover has joined the Hal Lewis Group as a Senior Account Executive. Prior to joining HLG, Jami worked as an Account Executive at Thomas J. Paul, Inc. in Rydal, PA, for over four years.

SCHOCK
Compliance Implementation Services announced that Linda Schock has joined the firm as Director, Government Pricing and will oversee the launch of the future CIS West Coast office. Schock brings over 20 years of industry experience which spans distribution, pricing, managed care and government contracting, reimbursement and Patient Support Programs to her consulting role on the firm’s Government Programs team. Most recently, she was Director, Commercial Operations for NeurogesX and launched the product Qutenza.

GLASCOTT and POSKEY-PAUL
AbelsonTaylor has hired Sheila Glascott and Laura Poskey-Paul as account supervisors. Previously Glascott spent ten years at Draftfcb in both New York and Chicago, most recently as an account supervisor. Poskey-Paul joins AbelsonTaylor after six years at Corbett Accel Healthcare Group in Chicago, where she was an account supervisor.

DAVIDSON
Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide announced the promotion of Brad Davidson, PhD, to general manager of Ogilvy CommonHealth Insights & Analytics. Advancing from his previous position as senior vice president, management supervisor of Ogilvy CommonHealth Insights & Analytics Dr. Davidson will oversee all of the group’s physician-patient communications research projects on behalf of the group’s clients, as well as initiate and develop new research methodologies.

SCHULTZ
Health Market Science has appointed John Schultz to the position of executive vice president of sales for all HMS business units. Schultz previously served as senior vice president of sales and marketing at MedAssurant. Prior to that, he led sales and marketing organizations at IBM and IMS Health.

SMOKOVITZ
MicroMass Communications, Inc. has named Paul Smokovitz senior interactive media designer. Smokovitz was previously senior interactive designer at The Martin Agency, where he worked on brands including Tylenol, American Cancer Association, and Discover Card, among others. Most recently he was senior interactive art designer/director at Doner Interactive.

CIPOLLA
Barbara Cipolla has been appointed EVP, Chief Growth Officer at Digitas, where she will lead business development efforts for Digitas USA. She has over 20 years of experience working with a diverse portfolio of clients including automotive, financial services, consumer products and travel across all communications channels. Prior to Digitas, Cipolla was an executive advisor working with brands on business strategy, brand positioning and media communications strategy.

ACKERMANN
Urologix announced the appointment of Lisa Ackermann as its Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Ms. Ackermann was most recently Group Product Director, Endoscopy for Ethicon Endo-Surgery (EES), a Johnson & Johnson Company. She has spent the past twelve years with Ethicon Endo-Surgery in a variety of roles with increasing responsibility in sales, commercial operations, and marketing.

MEIJER, DHAR, STERLING, and GILL
Discovery Chicago has promoted April Meijer to VP, Advocacy and has hired Tara Gill as an account manager and Rima Dhar and Alexandra Sterling as Associate Scientific Directors. Meijer will lead Discovery’s Advocacy Department, which develops the organization’s advocacy direction, strategy, and action plans. Dhar and Sterling will be responsible for leading the development of educational goals and objectives and execution of medical education deliverables for our clients. Gill will be responsible for the execution of projects.

GARCIA, GIRARD, GIANCOLA AND VIGIL
Analytics and predictive modeling firm Qforma announced four additions to its team. Hector Garcia (an electrical engineer) becomes Director, Quality Assurance. Jim Girard and Anthony Giancola join the company’s technology team—Girard as a Senior Analyst and Programmer, responsible for special projects, and Giancola as a Senior Programming Engineer specializing in user interfaces. Before joining Qforma, Giancola was a co-founder and chief technology officer of Strategic Analytics (acquired by Verisk Analytics in 2010). Carin Vigil joins the finance staff, with a background in accounting and clinical laboratories.
