Facebook’s Blake Chandlee Joins Outcome Health
Blake Chandlee, previously Global Vice President of Facebook’s Global Partnerships and Solutions Engineering Team, joined Outcome Health as Executive Vice President of Industry Solutions and Emerging Businesses. He’ll bridge the gap between life sciences, payers, and healthcare services. In this role, Chandlee will reinforce and expedite Outcome’s goal to become active in 70% of U.S. outpatient facilities by 2020, while expanding commercial opportunity in clinical trials, payers, pharmacies, and international business.

Discovery Worldwide Welcomes New SVP
Discovery Worldwide announced that Matt Silver has been named Senior Vice President of Strategy, Engagement, and Analytics for the company. He joins after accumulating more than 12 years experience in pharmaceutical marketing. At Discovery, he will continue to foster their goals in creating holistic brand experiences and designing architecture to better enable interpersonal relationships between patients and healthcare professionals at locations and times that are most beneficial.
Silver will report to Donald Young, Discovery’s Group Managing Director. Young notes, “Discovery is dedicated to delivering and supporting an approach to strategy, engagement, and analytics that is fresh, exciting, and relevant to our customers today and I am confident that Matt will elevate the prominence of this key practice area.”
Astellas
The drug manufacturer names Shontelle Dodson, PharmD, as Senior Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs Americas. Her career includes time at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Pfizer, and as VP of Medical Affairs at GTx, Inc. Most recently, Dodson held the position as Astellas’ Vice President of Medical Excellence within the global Medical Affairs organization. Dodson will report to Charlotte Kremer, MD, the EVP and Head of Medical Affairs.
Audentes Therapeutics
A biotechnology company specializing in the creation and commercialization of gene therapy products for those with rare and life-threatening diseases appoints John T. Gray, PhD, to SVP and Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Gray has been at Audentes since 2014 and previously served as the VP of Research and Development.

Previously a Vice President and General Manager of U.S. Oncology at Sanofi, Bhavesh Ashar has now joined Bayer as their Senior Vice President and Head of Oncology for the Pharmaceuticals Division in the U.S. Ashar is tasked to uphold Bayer’s reputation as a global enterprise benefiting people and their quality of life.

The first global connected health agency built for marketing today, Digitas Health, named John Mangano to Senior Vice President of Strategy and Analytics. Mangano comes to Digitas from comScore, Inc., where he oversaw and led healthcare and pharma experts in marketing and research. Mangano has two decades of marketing decision science innovation experience and previously held corporate leadership roles at AOL Inc., AT&T Wireless, and MCI Inc.
Greater Than One, Inc.
Kieran Walsh was appointed President of U.S. operations at Greater Than One. He will be responsible for leading the GTO staff and offices in New York and San Francisco and for providing oversight on all U.S.-based accounts. Walsh’s experience includes senior roles at J. Walter Thompson, Digitas Health and Lowe Alchemy.
HYC Health
The Chicago-based healthcare and pharma agency welcomes Shannon Carlson as the company’s Senior Vice President, Account Director. She reports to Managing Director Susan Flinn Cobian, and will oversee the agency’s Roche accounts.

Judit H. Joanne Bedwell-Garner, PhD, has been appointed to Developmental Director of Macrophage Pharma Limited (MPL), an immuno-oncology development company. Coming to MPL with more than 25 years of pharmaceutical experience, she will lead the advancement of their program MPL-5821.

The clinical-stage vaccine company promoted Dr. James F. Cummings to VP, Clinical Development and Translational Medicine. Dr. Cummings joined Novavax in 2015 as Senior Director of Clinical Development, before which he was Director for Global Emerging Infections Surveillance and Response Systems at the Armed Forces.

Hon. Mike Ferguson joins the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Pfizer appoints Robert C. Rickert, PhD, as Chief Scientific Officer of Rinat, the immuno-oncology research unit within the company. Dr. Rickert will oversee Pfizer’s CAR T-Cell programs, and the development of cancer immunotherapeutic agents. Previously, Dr. Rickert worked at Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in La Jolla, serving as a Professor, Director, and an Associate Dean.
