Life Foundation Offers 2016 Life Grants to Assist Those with Infertility

CHICAGO, April 12, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Kevin J. Lederer Life Foundation, a Chicago non-profit founded to help those with infertility, has announced their 2016 Life Grants program. The Life Foundation offers Life Grants to eligible individuals and couples to help defray the financial challenges of infertility treatment, adoption or third party reproduction.

Applications for the 2016 Life Grants will be accepted online at www.lifefindsaway.org/grants from April 24 through May 22, 2016.

The Life Foundation provides grants of financial assistance or donated services. Eligible applicants must reside in Illinois, Indiana or Wisconsin, and must have received a certified diagnosis of infertility. Exceptions include applicants who are single, or part of a same sex couple, and applicants applying for a grant for egg freezing for medical reasons. Applicants must have an annual household income of less than $110,000. Grants are awarded on an annual basis, and the amount of the grants, or total number of grants awarded each year is dependent upon fundraising. Grant requests may not exceed $10,000.

The Life Foundation is a collaborative foundation of medical practices, attorneys and third party agencies that assist in family building.

“It’s a privilege to help others achieve their dreams of parenthood,” says Life Foundation Board Member Lisa Rinehart, a reproductive health attorney and healthcare consultant.

“The costs of adoption or fertility treatment can be a struggle,” says Dr. Eve Feinberg, President and Director of the Life Foundation and Physician Partner at Fertility Centers of Illinois. “Through the Life Grants, we hope to ease the financial burden for those who want to have a family of their own.”

In 2015, the Life Foundation received 85 grant applications and awarded 12 grants. The foundation is supported by the following partners: Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago, Advanced Reproductive Center, Center for Reproductive Health, Fertility Centers of Illinois, InVia Fertility, IVF1 and the Reproductive Medicine Institute, along with Ballard, Desai & Miller and Conceive Abilities.
