Heather R. Hayes & Associates Is Proud To Announce That Founder, Heather Hayes, Is Joining A&E Network’s EMMY® Award-Winning Docuseries ‘Intervention’ For A Special New Season

Cumming, GA , Dec. 20, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — In an official corporate announcement earlier today, Heather R. Hayes & Associates, Inc. officially announced that CEO and Founder, Heather Hayes will be joining the Intervention team for a special new season of the Emmy® Award-winning and critically-acclaimed docuseries “Intervention”. For the first time in series history, this season will follow interconnected stories of addicts and their families suffering at the hands of the national opioid crisis. Living in a cluster of communities within the affluent Atlanta suburbs known as “The Heroin Triangle,” the families chronicled highlight the desperate need for support and help during this national drug emergency. The two-hour season premiere of “Intervention” launches Tuesday, January 2 at 9 PM ET/PT on A&E.

Recognized as a true pioneer in the behavioral health, addiction treatment, and intervention fields, Heather Hayes joins the team for this special season as they take a concentrated look at Atlanta and the wreckage from the local opioid crisis. “Intervention” profiles people whose uncontrollable addiction to drugs, alcohol or compulsive behavior has brought them to the brink of destruction and has devastated their family and friends. This season focuses on the journey of those plagued by their opioid addictions and their families who are left to pick up the pieces, as well as the city officials who are on the ground fighting as they attempt to intervene and save the lives of those affected as well as help heal the community.

“I couldn’t possibly be more humbled and excited by the opportunity to work with such an exceptional network and team of producers on a project so rich in history, while focusing on the city I call home. Atlanta is under siege and I have made it my life’s work to make an impact on addiction, both at home and beyond, said Heather Hayes. She continued, “While we are all seeing the impact opiates are having on our own communities, there is a darker and more insidious problem with our treatment industry’s ethics and approach to treating the epidemic at large, which is finally getting some attention with the help of groundbreaking shows like ‘Intervention’ and powerful networks like A&E. I am so grateful to be part of the solution.”

“Intervention” has been nominated for 11 Primetime Emmy Awards and won two, including one for Outstanding Reality Program in 2009. “Intervention” is produced for A&E by GRB Entertainment. Executive producers for GRB Entertainment are Gary R. Benz and Tom Greenhut. Executive producers for A&E Network are Elaine Frontain Bryant, Shelly Tatro and Brad Holcman.
