Entellus Medical Announces Strategic Marketing Agreement With Xoran Technologies

PLYMOUTH, Minn., Nov. 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Entellus Medical, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTL), a medical technology company focused on delivering superior patient and physician experiences through products designed for the minimally invasive treatment of chronic and recurrent sinusitis patients, today announced the signing of a strategic marketing agreement with Xoran Technologies, LLC, a market leader in medical office-based CT scanning products. The five year agreement between the two companies enables cross-promotion and co-marketing of each company’s products as well as collaboration at key industry events.

Xoran’s MiniCAT CT scanner is a market leader in office-based CT scanning technology. The CT scan is an integral part of the diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from sinusitis. It is also a necessary precursor to balloon sinus dilation and advanced sinus procedures. By offering patients immediate and accurate diagnostic information with low-radiation dose technology, the Xoran MiniCAT CT scanner enables ENT clinicians to create a more convenient and safer patient experience. In addition, the Xoran MiniCAT is well-suited for integration and support of the Fiagon Navigation system, for which Entellus is the exclusive distributor to ENT offices and ENT ambulatory surgery centers in the United States.

“Entellus and Xoran are both enabling and empowering ENT physicians to do more for patients within the confines of their office,” said Robert White, President and Chief Executive Officer of Entellus Medical. “I am excited to take our efforts to the next level with this long term agreement, the real beneficiaries of which are the physicians and patients who can enjoy the benefits of treatment in the office. We believe this partnership further cements us as a leader in office-based resources and procedural expertise.”

“Xoran strives to employ point-of-care imaging to increase the efficiency and quality of healthcare, and the agreement with Entellus will allow us to strengthen that vision,” stated David Sarment, DDS, MS, President of Xoran Technologies. “When you combine the efforts of two companies with highly-complimentary products, the value created for both the clinician practices and the patient is evident. We are very excited about this opportunity.”

About Entellus Medical, Inc.

Entellus Medical is a medical technology company focused on delivering superior patient and physician experiences through products designed for the minimally invasive treatment of chronic and recurrent sinusitis patients. The Entellus Medical platform of products provides physicians with solutions to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from chronic sinusitis. Its XprESS family of products is used by ENT physicians to open narrowed or obstructed sinus drainage pathways using balloon sinus dilation. When used as a stand-alone therapy, Entellus Medical’s balloon sinus dilation products are the only devices proven in a sufficiently powered prospective, multicenter, randomized, controlled trial to be as effective as functional endoscopic sinus surgery (“FESS”). Patients treated with Entellus Medical’s products in this trial in the ENT physician’s office also experienced faster recovery, less bleeding at discharge, less use of prescription pain medication and fewer post-procedure debridements than patients receiving FESS. In addition to its XprESS line of products, Entellus Medical has recently introduced additional products designed to aid in the diagnosis, treatment and post-operative care of patients suffering from chronic sinusitis.

Entellus Medical currently markets its products in the United States, Europe and Canada and sells its products through a direct sales force in the United States and the United Kingdom. For more information, please visit the Company’s website at www.entellusmedical.com.
