A Passion for Data that Improves Patient Outcomes
Amy Patel, MPH, brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare data, analytics and market research to her role as Phreesia’s Director of Analytics. Supporting life sciences and healthcare clients across a range of therapeutic areas, she is passionate about understanding the patient experience and engaging patients in ways that reduce their barriers to care.
As Director of Analytics, Amy is the leading force behind the delivery of tailored health content and campaigns to millions of patients each month on Phreesia’s HIPAA-compliant platform. Overseeing Analytics and Insights (AI) and Business Intelligence teams, Amy is responsible for the platform’s audience- defining, measurement, and analysis of campaign components. Her efforts ensure that clients not only reach the right patients, but also understand the impact of their content on health outcomes.
Under Amy’s leadership, the AI team has supported 61% growth in campaigns on the Phreesia platform. They have completed more than 4,700 audience forecasts—a 244% growth increase—to help the company illustrate to clients the number of patients they can reach on platform. Leveraging these data reports, her team can match patients up to the most relevant health content.

Amy also works cross functionally across teams to evolve opportunities to align relevant content to the right patients. She is responsible for compiling and analyzing data that can map the success of potential programs and illustrating to clients the value of new methods for patient engagement.
One example of this work is the launch of Phreesia’s new medication adherence solution. Named to PM360’s 2023 list of Most Innovative Marketing Technologies or Services, the solution securely supplies curated adherence content. Amy’s team not only ensures Phreesia’s ability to execute the program and bring it to market, but also the ability to monitor and report on its success.
Outside of Phreesia, Amy is committed to driving better patient outcomes. She is often called to moderate panels at industry events and has led public discussions on such timely topics as running effective campaigns within the changing data-privacy landscape and reaching high-quality audiences in today’s digital world.
