Instilling a Culture of Paying It Forward

“It makes perfect sense that a USC graduate, who started out directing film, would be able to direct a successful ad agency so seamlessly,” says Alysa Vasapolli, Director of Talent, CultHealth. “Jeff Rothstein sees the business from all angles like a filmmaker: he is able to predict the unpredictable, solve problems you’d never see coming, and dive deep into the creative process with his team.”

As one of the co-founders of Cult360 a little over a decade ago, Jeff helped transform the agency into CultHealth, which now has over 100 employees and has produced work that resulted in record sales for numerous clients, including $5B in sales for a single product. As a result of their rapid growth and omnichannel capabilities, CultHealth recently became a part of Indegene to further the Indegene commitment to future-ready healthcare innovation. The partnership pairs the cutting-edge technology of Indegene, which includes proprietary AI, end-to-end development and unmatched data/analytics, with the visionary creative prowess of CultHealth.

“There is no CultHealth without Jeff. He came up with the idea that healthcare brands should have the same cult following as cars, sneakers, and cell phones,” says his original business partner Joe Jelic. “He has created something so distinct and special—our agency possesses a culture that is unparalleled in advertising.”

As part of that culture, Jeff has made philanthropy an agency hallmark. He is a founding board member of Momentum and Value for People of Color, an organization committed to mentorship, internship, and career opportunities. He has also been closely involved with First Candle, an organization dedicated to awareness and education around sudden infant death syndrome, or SIDS, as well as the Melanoma Research Foundation, for which he helped produce “The Melagnomes” campaign.

Jeff is constantly encouraging his team to express their values publicly, just as they did this past year in a social campaign for Rare Disease Day. “We had this idea and knocked it out without a second thought. That’s the kind of company Jeff has created,” says Glenn Stevens, SVP, Group Creative Director, CultHealth. “We always leave room for more thinking… and that’s all thanks to Jeff.”
