Forming a New Powerhouse Agency
In February 2023, Concentric Health Experience and Scout combined to form ConcentricLife. At the heart of this new agency are Founders Ken Begasse Jr. and Michael Sanzen.
Ken followed in his father’s footsteps in medical advertising, beginning his career with an internship at 19, starting in the art department (before ultimately transitioning to client services). Around the same time, Michael began as a copywriter. Michael and Ken have been partners since those early years, working together for over three decades at some of the most successful and highly awarded advertising agencies. Together, they have launched two of the industry’s most iconic brands, Lipitor and Viagra, and ultimately launched their own agency—Concentric Health Experience—before they turned 30.
Concentric was created because of one central human truth: At the heart of every personal experience is a health experience. That truth has resulted in groundbreaking work and industry-wide recognition with awards including “Launch of the Year” for Rexulti, Ultomiris, and Wegovy and nine Agency of the Year awards in Concentric Health Experience’s 21-year history. Plus, the agency has seen a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 35% since 2013.
Now, ConcentricLife, which is part of the Stagwell network, comprises over 270 employees across the globe, including New York, San Diego, Chicago, Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale, London, and Copenhagen. ConcentricLife, along with its specialist practices RitualLife and ScoutLife, partner with a diverse range of clients across the healthcare landscape from rare disease to wellness, deeply entrenched in brands that put the human health experience at the center of life.
Ken and Michael are known for building their agency on values of courage, compassion, and community. As such, their company has given back to the community through work with The Cancer Couch, a foundation dedicated to raising money to research a cure for metastatic breast cancer; the City Harvest Food Drive in New York City; and Rainbow Road, freeing members of the LGBTQ+ community in countries that offer them no protection. They also support communities of the future, such as Dream Beacon, which is dedicated to student achievement and career success.
