Nicole Woodland-De Van

President

Compas

Transforming Work and Community

Over the last 20 years, Nicole Woodland-De Van has systematically risen through the ranks—not only through her acute skills, but also, because of her ability to authentically connect with her staff, clients, and community members.

She began her Compas career as Account Manager, but has also served as Marketing Manager and Executive Director of Promotional Media. While in that role, she grew company revenues to over $27 million annually. As Executive Vice President and Chief Organizational Effectiveness Officer, Buying Services, her leadership elevated Compas’ influence throughout the industry. Recently promoted to President, she is now responsible for Compas’ strategic leadership, long-range goals, plans, and policies.

One of the highlights from her career is when Nicole led the creation of the industry’s first bespoke HCP programmatic offering on the buying side—AdMission. Through this single offering, countless pharma companies can more accurately target physicians. It’s brought a new level of transparency to the industry.

She also supported her team in the development of MAP features and functionality. In one instance, she identified and spearheaded efforts to automate the manual ad trafficking process in MAP. In doing so, she made the process more accurate and efficient.

Michelle Potts, Executive Vice President, Buying Services & Deliverables, Compas, says, “With Nicole’s vision and leadership, Compas continues to strengthen the unique supplier partnerships that support and drive our exclusive business model. She has been instrumental in creating a culture where both are valued and trusted.”

Joanne Andre, COO of PDQ, adds, “Nicole has been a role model to many with her unique leadership skills and caring personality. She is a true innovator, always at the forefront of taking the agency to the next level.”

“Nicole and Compas have offered us superior new product innovation and partnership,” says Joe Kleine, Chief Commercial Officer, Doximity.

Outside of the office, Nicole actively volunteers her time with the Wicked Warriors Dragon boat team to support and empower women. They recently raised over $20,000 for CASA of Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties. She also serves with Habitat for Humanity and supports book drives for local schools.
