The Creative Fire Starter
“I’ve heard a lot of leaders in our industry describe their job as firefighters,” says Ryan Jordan. “They spend their days putting out fires and clearing a path for success. I think the best creative leaders must be fire starters, and spend their time igniting the passions of other talented creatives.”
Over the past few years, imre Health has experienced remarkable growth, nearly doubling its employees and rapidly growing its offices in Baltimore, NYC, LA, and Philadelphia. Few have had a greater impact on the growth and transformation of imre’s health practice than Ryan. A former painter and visual designer mentored by the legendary Gene Azzam (Tootsie Pop, Vlassic Stork, and Scrubbing Bubbles), he helped the team fortify how its agency values inform the strategic briefing process and lead to powerful creative solutions.
Throughout Ryan’s tenure at imre, he’s developed several industry and agency firsts. He co-created a creative leadership model specific for social media; prototyped one of the industry’s first creative studio models for digital marketing; and helped to architect a social and digital native healthcare practice through the sheer force of his creative vision, imre Health. His contributions have had a transformative impact on imre Health’s expansion of services, sophistication of capabilities, and double-digit financial growth.
His day-to-day role includes leading and mentoring an integrated team of 40+ artists, conceptual thinkers, writers, influencers, directors, and strategists with dedicated healthcare expertise across four offices and two creative studios. Over his career, he has created platforms and designed campaigns that have transformed some of the biggest and best-loved brands in healthcare, including Nexium, Crestor, Opdivo, Bausch + Lomb, Johnson & Johnson, Target, Nestlé Health Science, and more.
Over the past several years, Ryan led some of the first branded, interactive social marketing work in the space, across a variety of therapeutic areas, including Oncology, Respiratory, Women’s Health, and Cardiovascular/Metabolic Diseases. Additionally, Ryan held the creative reigns over transforming Viagra, one of the world’s most iconic pharma brands in the modern landscape, post-LOE, changing the brand’s look, tone, and feel from the broadcast ads of yesteryear.
