The publisher of a position paper on bariatric interventions for obese adolescents acknowledges errors in the paper pertaining to BMI cutoff levels. The paper, which was published ahead of print in the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, was described in an article by this wire service published Jan. 28, 2015, “Bariatric surgery guidelines reinforce BMI 35+ in teens.” The journal is working to correct their errors.
