Celebrating the Promise of a New Year

We are kicking off 2021 with a celebration. While we, like everyone, are celebrating the promise that the new year brings and the hope that at some point we will be able to return to a sense of normalcy, we are also celebrating something else. This industry’s unmatched creativity. Few other industries have to deal with the same creative confines as the life sciences industry, as marketers are forced to work inside the lines of strict regulations. That is what makes all of you the perfect judges to determine which creatives were effectively able to push those boundaries—as much as they can get away with—to deliver something truly imaginative. That is why for the past 12 years our Pharma Choice Awards give you the power to decide the winners.

In November, we posted all of this year’s entries on our website and you came out in record numbers—more than 8,000 votes—to pick the best healthcare creative of 2020. Click here to start looking through all of the winners, and to start preparing because the voting isn’t done yet. For the first time ever, we will be doing the Ultimate Pharma Choice Face Off. During a virtual event at the end of March, we will ask all of the attendees to vote live to see which of our winners truly stand above all of the rest. It is a new kind of celebration that only PM360 can deliver.

Of course, we also know that 2021 will be filled with new challenges as companies continue to deal with the ramifications of COVID-19. But this issue will also help get your new year started on the right foot. Our esteemed board member, Santos Torres, Jr., details the long-term impact of COVID on the sales model. Additionally, last year’s Trailblazer Brand Champions participated in an exclusive virtual roundtable on Maximizing Point of Care Marketing in the New Normal. And, our Focus On section deals with PR—Thriving in Hard Times, including how healthcare communicators can help overcome the barrage of misinformation about COVID and the various vaccines that have been approved.

We promise to continue to provide you with the information you need to help navigate the challenges that COVID-19 brings and whatever else 2021 has in store. But we also will continue to celebrate your ability to overcome those challenges and make this new year a successful one.
