American Health Council Names Eric A. Widra, M.D. to Physician Board

NEW YORK, July 10, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Dr. Eric Widra, Physician and Medical Director at Shady Grove Fertility, has been selected to join the Physician Board at the American Health Council. He will be sharing his knowledge and expertise in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology.

Amassing two decades of experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Widra utilizes his expertise in his role as a Physician and Medical Director at Shady Grove Fertility.  Recognized on as a world leader and respected pioneer in fertility treatment, Shady Grove Fertility was founded by Dr. Michael J. Following graduation with his medical degree from the Rutgers University in 1990, Dr. Widra pursued an internship (1991) and residency (1994) in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. In 1996, he completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at George Washington University Hospital. 

As a testament to his success, Dr. Widra has been honored to be selected to Washingtonian’s Top Doctor List for Infertility (1994 – Present) and the Washington Consumers’ Checkbook Guide to Top Doctors (2015). Due to his consistent presentation at the annual American Society of Reproductive Medicine meetings, Dr. Widra has been a recipient of the ASRM Star Award. He has authored over sixty publications in fertility journals, such as Fertility and Sterility, Human Reproduction, and the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics.

To keep abreast of the latest in the industry, Dr. Widra maintains a membership with the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART) and American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). He serves on the Board of Directors of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Organization.
