Top Companies, Marketers and Initiatives to be Honored on September 25th

NEW YORK, NY, August, 31, 2015–The finalists are in for the seventh-annual PM360 Trailblazer Awards. PM360, a leading health-marketing industry trade magazine, will honor the pharmaceutical and medical device industries’ most influential innovators. Established in 2009, the Trailblazer Awards are given to outstanding companies, marketers and brand managers representing the best the industry has to offer.

“The response to our Trailblazer Awards continues to grow each year and we were once again overwhelmed with fantastic entries from across the industry,” says Anna Stashower, CEO and Publisher of PM360. “We are exceedingly thankful to our judges for the tremendous effort to narrow such a large field down to these select finalists.”

The award finalists are selected by the PM360 Editorial Advisory Board, which is comprised of some of the most forward-thinking leaders in their respective fields.

“The competition this year was fierce and the ability of these finalists to rise above their peers to become recognized in their respective categories means they are truly all winners,” adds Stashower. “Each has demonstrated the ability to meet and overcome the numerous challenges all are forced to face in an industry undergoing constant reform and increased scrutiny.”

To reach the finalist phase, companies must show achievement in various areas including innovation, talent development and social responsibility. Meanwhile, Brand Champions and Marketers of the Year are judged on their leadership, skill, dedication, impact and effectiveness of their work. And the Initiative entries are evaluated on their ability to overcome challenges; the skill, innovation and quality of planning and execution; and the effectiveness of the work.

Finalists are acknowledged and winners will be honored during a special reception at Gotham Hall at 1356 Broadway in New York City on September 25th, 2015. More than 500 people attended last year’s sold out black tie affair. Each year, the Trailblazer Awards Gala has more attendees from the pharmaceutical industry than any other industry event. Profiles of all of the night’s winners will appear in PM360’s October issue.

PM360 is also proud to announce that Timothy G. Rothwell, former Chairman, President and CEO of Sanofi US and current Chairman Emeritus of the Pheo-Para Alliance, a not-for-profit organization, is the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient.

Rothwell has more than 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and was instrumental in the formation of Sanofi-Aventis U.S. in 2004. He has also served as President of Pharmacia’ Global Prescription Business, worldwide President of Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals and President of the company’s Global Pharmaceutical Operations, and Chief Executive Officer of Sandoz Pharmaceuticals.

“We feel truly privileged to honor this industry icon who paved a path for success at every company he worked for and helped guide the evolution of this industry over the course of his long career,” says Stashower.
