Mirixa Corporation Names New CEO

Marvin Richardson, RPh, has been named CEO Of Mirixa Corporation and has also been elected to serve on the company’s Board of Directors. Mirixa Corporation is a leader in targeted patient care services and was founded by the National Community Pharmacists Association. Prior to Mirixa, Richardson worked at the Walgreen Co. Richardson has an impressive career in the healthcare and retail pharmacy services industry, spanning more than 34 years. Throughout his career, Richardson has served as Vice President of Rite Aid and co-founded and managed several companies. In his new position, Richardson plans to provide greater value to the company’s client base through empowering and engaging the vast network of pharmacists in the healthcare industry.

Relmada Therapeutics, Inc. Appoints New Finance Director

The clinical stage, public specialty pharmaceutical company, Relmada Therapeutics, Inc., appointed Julie J. Chen as the Director of Finance and Operations. Chen, who most recently hailed from Credo Partners, has nearly 20 years of experience in conducting financial analysis. In her prior position, Chen analyzed financial models, conducted data analysis and due diligence, and managed internal control operations. Chen spent 10 years working in the public and private sectors, and also worked on Wall Street, serving as a Senior Research Analyst at Hudson Securities, CRT Capital Group, LLC and Brean Murray Carret & Co. LLC as well as an Associate Analyst at C.E. Unterberg Towbin.

Amgen

Sanders Williams, MD has been elected to Amgen’s Board of Directors, where he will serve on the Corporate Responsibility and Compliance Committee, and the Governance and Nominating Committee of the board. Dr. Williams is President of Gladstone Institutes where he is also the Robert W. and Linda L. Mahley Distinguished Professor of Medicine.

Angiotech

Angiotech Pharmaceuticals, a surgical specialties corporation, has named John R. Barr as CEO of the company. Barr brings 35 years of medical device and operational leadership experience to the company, and most recently served as the Executive Vice President and President Global Surgical at Bausch & Lomb.

Astellas

Promoted Vice President, Brian McLellan to President of the Americas Region of Astellas Pharma Technologies in Norman, OK. In his new position, McLellan will be responsible for all operations at the Norman facilities.

aTyr

John C. McKew, PhD is now Vice President of Research with the company. Dr. McKew, a rare disease expert, brings over 20 years of experience in transitional research to his new position. Dr. McKew held leadership positions at the National Institutes of Health, Wyeth Research and Genetics Institute, Inc., and has most currently served as the Acting Scientific Director of the Division of Preclinical Innovation at the NCATS.

Catalyst

The pharmaceutical company appointed David J. Caponera as Vice President Patient Advocacy and Reimbursement. Caponera will be responsible for developing the strategy and managing Catalyst’s patient advocacy programs, reimbursement and patient assistant initiatives.

Cypher Genomics, Inc.

Has appointed J. Patrick Ravenel as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. The Fortune 500 Company software architect has more than 20 years of enterprise software and systems solutions experience, and holds four patents in information security and automated compliance management. Previously, Ravenel served as Vice President of Software and Development at MedImpact Healthcare Systems.

Concentric

Concentric Heath Experience, an MDC Partners company today announced the hiring of Jose Rivera as Executive Vice President and Account Director. Rivera was previously the Senior Vice President and Director of Client Services at Harrison and Star, a global healthcare marketing agency.

Intouch Solutions

Jennifer Arnold-Coleman will serve as the Marketing Analytics Director of Intouch Solutions. Arnold-Coleman has been a vital member of the company since 2010, serving as the Senior Marketing Analyst. In her new position, Arnold-Coleman will be responsible for managing a team of analysts and delivering solutions that meet client’s ever-evolving needs. Jennifer LoMonaco will now serve as Marketing Analytics Manager. In her new position she will take a more proactive role in shaping the insights and recommendations that drive action and contribute to overall client strategy.

Pacific

Added a new Account Group Supervisor, Brian Purcell, who is joining the Voluma and Juvederm account teams. Prior to joining Pacific  Communications, Purcell was Vice President, Account Group Supervisor for Havas Life in New York. He holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from State University of New York in Oneonta.

PDL BioPharma

Danny Hart was appointed as Vice President of Business Development and Nathan Kryszak will serve as Senior Counsel. Hart joined PDL in January of 2010, serving as the company’s Deputy General Counsel, Assistant Secretary and Corporate Counsel. Prior to PDL, Kryzak was a Senior Finance Associate with the law firm White & Case, LLP.

Regado

President Michael A. Metzger was named CEO of the company, replacing former CEO, David J. Mazzo, PhD and has been elected to the Board of Directors. Metzger has been with Regado Biosciences since 2013 and brings nearly 20 years of experience in the life science sector. Prior to Regado, Metzger served as CEO at Mersana Therapeutics.

Regeneron Genetics

Regeneron Genetics Center LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., named Alan Shuldiner, MD, of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, as the Vice President of Transitional Genetics. Richard Lifton, MD, PhD, the Sterling Professor of Genetics, Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Genetics at Yale University, will serve as Chairman of its new Scientific Advisory Board.

Rubicon Genomics, Inc.

Karl Hecker, PhD was named the company’s VP of Product Development. Dr. Hecker hails from Invitrogen, bringing more than 15 years of life sciences and diagnostics product development expertise. Dr. Hecker also possesses over 25 years experience in chemistry and molecular biology.

StoneArch

Nicole Cron is now the Director of Client Services at the medical marketing agency, StoneArch. In this position, Cron will be responsible for leading the agency’s account services team and supporting the company’s strategic initiatives and business development efforts. Cron possesses over 19 years of experience in the business and most recently served as the Marketing Director for Optum, a United Health Group business.

TGaS

Sharon K. Getty is named Director, Management Advisor for the Marketing Sciences Practice. She was most recently Director, Business Analytics & Insight, Global Center of Excellence at Pfizer. Honored with presidential and peer awards, Getty holds a BA from Pennsylvania University and is completing the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School Executive Education program.
