Measure of America

Americans today have a life expectancy of 78.6 years, which is an increase of nearly 9 years since 1960. Compared with the rest of the world, however, we rank 30th in life expectancy despite spending the most on healthcare. According to The Measure of America 2010-2011, a report from the American Human Development Project, people in 29 other countries are living longer while spending as little as one-eighth as much on their health.
