| RESTORED HEARING Excessive exposure to noise can rob a person of hearing, but a potential new drug treatment may help restore the “ear” to hear. Currently hearing aides and cochlear implants are the only treatment options for hearing loss, but a new study by researchers from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, found that injections of adenosine amine congener (ADAC) were effective in substantially restoring noise-induced hearing loss in rats.. |
