On the hottest day of July, six cross-discipline teams from Flashpoint Medica grabbed their smartphones and headed out on FlashQuest, a scavenger hunt for innovative social media campaigns across New York City’s digital landscape. Teams were given a series of tasks, all of which required the use of mobile and social media channels. They found and engaged with innovative digital campaigns, created Pinterest boards, and used Vine to interview New Yorkers about their favorite mobile apps, with points awarded for the successful completion of each task.

To prepare, each team opened its own account on Facebook, Twitter, Vine, Pinterest, Google Hangouts, Instagram and Yelp, creating hashtags to coordinate with their teammates as well as liking, posting and sharing with the contest judges along the way.

At the end of the day, each team created a short presentation using videos, Pinterest and Prezi, and shared the results of their quest with the entire agency over cocktails at a nearby bar. The team with the highest number of successfully completed tasks and the best creative presentation was announced and prizes were awarded.

According to Flashpoint CEO and Managing Partner Charlene Prounis, “Flashpoint encourages a culture of curiosity about our ever-changing digital world, and FlashQuest was a great way to spark creativity and collaboration to generate ideas that help us, our clients and their brands.”
