The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) named Kathleen Jaeger Executive Vice President and CEO. From 2002 to 2010, Jaeger served as President and CEO of the Generic Pharmaceutical Association (GPhA). She is credited with transforming the association into a powerful voice for the generic industry, developing effective public policy and advocacy and communications programs that resulted in numerous legislative and regulatory victories.

Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide has appointed Michael ZilligenPresident of Ogilvy CommonHealth Specialty Marketing, the organization’s full-service advertising and promotion agency focused on high-science and specialty markets. In his new role, Zilligen will oversee all company operations, strategic planning, and new business initiatives for the group. Previously, he was president of ProCom, a CommonHealth medical education unit (now Ogilvy CommonHealth Medical Education).

Mark R. Straley was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Metamark Genetics, a privately held oncology molecular diagnostics company. Previously, Straley was Worldwide President of Johnson & Johnson’s Diagnostics division, accountable for $2 billion in revenue with global responsibility for sales, marketing, customer support, and commercial operations. He has 25 years of experience as a sales and marketing general manager in global healthcare.

Edwin Rivera-Martinez was appointed Technical Vice President to the Strategic Compliance Services team at Parexel Consulting, a global consultancy serving the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries. Rivera- Martinez served for more than 33 years at the FDA, most recently as Chief of the FDA’s International Compliance Branch, within the Division of Manufacturing and Product Quality (DMPQ) in the Office of Compliance, Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), which oversees human drug and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) inspections conducted internationally by the FDA. From 2002 to 2009, he served as Chief of the Manufacturing Assessment and Pre- approval Compliance Branch in DMPQ, where he directed the agency’s human drug pre-approval inspection program. In that role, he assured the validity of data in applications and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) compliance of both domestic and foreign manufacturing establishments referenced in new drug applications (NDAs) and abbreviated new drug applications (ANDAs) and supplements as well as biologics license applications (BLAs) and BLA supplement (BLS) applications for therapeutic biological drugs regulated by CDER.

CMI recently added Steve Spittel and Jayme Lynde to its Account Management team as Senior Vice President, Account Management and Strategic Services, and Vice President, Account Director, respectively. Spittel was SVP of Business Development previously at Interlink and has launched nearly 20 new products in his long career. Lynde, formerly Media Director at Digitas Health, has developed digital media strategies, campaigns, and partnerships for major pharmaceutical brands.

Intouch Solutions, a digital marketing agency serving the pharmaceutical industry, recently named David Windhausen Senior Vice President. Windhausen, whose previous role was President/Managing Partner at Trabon Solutions, a custom application development firm, will lead the development group at Intouch Solutions, overseeing developers, business system analysts, and technical engagement managers.

Ross Thomson is now Chief Creative Officer at Roska Healthcare, where he is charged with developing the agency business model and brand identity while working closely with CEO Jay Bolling on new business strategy. Thomson served previously as Chief Ideation Officer at Vox Medica and Chief Creative Officer at Grey Healthcare Group. He has led his agencies to dozens of industry awards for creative excellence in healthcare marketing.

Rebecca Greenberg has joined Concentric Pharma Advertising as Senior Vice President, Account Director, where she will be responsible for managing key accounts. Named a 2010 Rising Star by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, Greenberg has over 19 years of experience in healthcare marketing.The brand launches she has led include Prezista, Intelence, Cardizem LA, and Novartis MS products. —Bruce Lacey
