Back in November, more voters than ever before made sure their voices were heard. Yes, that was true in the presidential election, but the same can also be said for our 12th Annual Pharma Choice Awards. More than 8,000 votes were cast to decide the year’s best healthcare creative. Maybe that was because most people are still stuck at home due to COVID-19 and were looking for a fun break from their monotonous routines, but here at PM360 we choose to believe you were all just beyond excited to peruse the creative excellence of your colleagues and show them love by picking your favorites. Because for all of the bad we experienced in 2020, it is nice to think that people also gained a newfound appreciation for the work being done in our industry—no matter the role.
You all gravitated to our voting site to look through the nearly 150 entries in our 13 categories: App, Consumer Website, DTC/DTP, Multichannel, Philanthropic, Professional Campaign (Print), Professional Website, Sales Aid, Self-promotion, Social Media, Unbranded, Variety, and Video. You then marveled at the creative designs, innovative ideas, attention-grabbing copy, touching videos, and found something that spoke to you and helped you choose the best creative in each category.
Now, on the following pages you will find the top three vote getters (a Gold, Silver, and Bronze winner) in each of those 13 categories. As you look through the winners, don’t forget that it was you—all of you—who picked them. Each of these wins should matter more because you selected them. Because you are the ones who understand this industry the best and what it takes to deliver truly exceptional creative.
And if you are curious who garnered the most praise of all, then look above. There you will find the four winners who got the most votes out of all of the categories. This year, that honor goes to: Calcium USA and NEKTAR for “Immuniverse” in the Unbranded category (pictured: Steve Hamburg, Managing Partner, Chief Creative Officer, Calcium USA); Snow Companies, Agate, Artcraft, and Pharming for the “Ruconest Patient App” in the App category (pictured: Caitlin Marsh, Associate Director Ruconest Marketing, Pharming Healthcare Inc.); JPA Health and Medicines360 for “Birth Control is #NotAwkward” in the Social Media category (pictured: Carrie Jones, Principal, JPA Health); and Concentric Health Experience and Sunovion Pharmaceuticals for the “Room to Breathe Virtual Reality Experience” in the Video category (pictured: Michael Sanzen, Partner, Chief Creative Officer, Concentric Health Experience).
But congratulations to all of the 2020 winners. You were able to close out the year on a great note. Let’s hope 2021 is filled with more success for you and the industry as a whole!
